We are a leading exporter of fish and seafood in the Nordics, and a well-established carrier of fresh fruit, vegetables, and other perishable goods. With part-loads, combined loads and owned terminals, we offer tailor made cold chain logistic solutions to fulfill the needs of our clients within all of Europe.

Since 1987, we have built our business on serving clients in the seafood and fresh produce industry. From above the Arctic Circle to all of Europe and back, our fleet of modern temperature-controlled trailers and an international team of dedicated professionals are ready to create the perfect transit conditions without compromising on delivery time or efficiency.

Our journey

1987

Thermo-Transit Denmark was founded in a small warehouse.

1994

Thermo-Transit Norway was founded as a 100% subsidiary of Thermo Transit DK

1996

Opening of a Northern Norway branch in Bø

1997

As the demand kept growing, a new department was opened in Oslo

1997-2008

The demand for export continued to grow, bringing in new clients and inspiring strategic expansion both within the Nordics and in Europe.

2O13

For logistical reasons, Thermo-Transit Denmark relocated from Middelfart to Padborg. Trucking companies were also founded in Poland and Germany.

2O15-2O18

After careful negotiations, 40% of all Thermo-Transit subsidiaries were acquired by Girteka in 2015. In 2018, Girteka acquired the remaining 60%.

2O21-2O23

A new terminal in Padborg (Denmark) was established. Thermo-Transit Holland set up an office and a terminal in Waddinxveen for handling northbound shipments of fruit and vegetables.

Today

Thermo-Transit is moving towards an ambitious goal of becoming the leading seafood logistics company in Europe.
